At last I managed my first 2012 salmon today not my biggest ever but a fish nevertheless a bar of silver with long tailed sea lice. I was surprised with the river Tay it was very low with 6 inches on the gauge I had never seen it so thin. Fly was a size 10 EDT cascade variant .
Off to the River Deveron tomorrow for the Deveron Festival which should be good fishing the Montcoffer beat on the lower river supporting Snowbee the Deveron has had lots of water in the last week.
