Fishing Experience

Alberto began fishing on the Rivers Severn and Teme from an early age, regularly being seen with a bent pin, worms and a jar full of minnows. He rapidly progressed and his interest developed into fishing for many different species of fish. 45 years later he still has strong recollections of catching that first silver fish with the large dorsal fin and the first brown fish with the red spots and it was from this time he was well and truly hooked, fishing for trout, sea trout, grayling and salmon had began.

A career as a top class hotelier meant that he lived in most parts of the UK from Dorset in the South to Dundee in Scotland; No matter where he was based he hunted out the very best of the local fishing and anglers. Dorset was an introduction to chalk streams the River Allen and Frome and the Avon and Test in Hampshire. County Durham was the superb sea trout and salmon fishing of the Rivers Tees and Wear. Scotland was the world renowned brown trout and salmon of both rivers and still water.

As a competition angler and part of the Scottish Rivers team he fished alongside some of the best anglers in the country in Ireland, Wales and England. Having vowed no longer to fish for Rainbow trout on moving to Scotland it was impossible to avoid with competition fishing and especially with the quality fish that the reservoirs of the UK had to offer.

Based close to Glasgow, Alberto is able to offer fishing within an hour’s drive of Glasgow airport in some of the finest scenery in Western Europe and on some of the best lochs and rivers in Scotland. Ideally positioned for those planning to arrive from the south you can arrive at Glasgow or Edinburgh Airport and be fishing by 10 am.
