We Caught Grayling

The intrepid 6 set off yet again for the Teviot on 26th February this time without snow.  We had suffered a far bit of rain the week before and the river was 1ft 9in on the gauge.  Still I guess that if you do not take your opportunities when the conditions are half OK at this time of year you never get out.  It was a great spring day with warm spring sunshine and the birds were singing as only they can in spring.  I did not fish as I had a 4 hour lesson with someone but I did get time to enjoy the spring flowers and pictures of fish!

Does anyone know what these yellow flowers are ?

Gordon Duff caught a nice fish on a pink baby wool bug at Jedfoot pool pushing the best part of 2lb.

A happy Gordon with his fish
